Intelligent Community Conference and Awards 2004

Intelligent Community Conference and Awards 2004 (ICCA 2004) is being held on June 10-11.

At ICCA 2004, attendees will learn how communities large and small, in the United States and overseas, are building prosperity on a digital-age foundation, with strong, positive leadership from the public sector. From e-government to public-private joint ventures, innovative financing to neighborhood-based training, ICCA 2004 will bring together all the information and advice needed to make informed decisions.

• James Balsillie, chairman and co-CEO of Research in Motion, manufacturer of the BlackBerry, on how the Digital Revolution is changing the way we live and work.



• Gino Menchini, New York City's commissioner for Information Technology and Telecom, on using communications technology to improve quality of life.

• Councilwoman Gale Brewer, chair of the New York City Council's Committee on Technology, on how smart use of technology can bridge the digital divide in schools while reducing government waste.



• Sarah McCue, senior partner for ICT Partnerships at the World Bank, on the economic opportunities the Internet is bringing to developing nations.

ICCA 2004 also offers a line-up of workshops and special events, making it a must-attend event for:
