APCO Salutes Powell
Jan 27, 2005, News Report
"We are sorry to hear that Chairman Powell will be stepping down," APCO International President Greg Ballentine said. "He has been a strong supporter of public safety, and his leadership has been an asset for our nation's first responders and the public they serve."
Powell's resignation will come just a month prior to him receiving the Leadership in Advancing Communications Policy Award from APCO International at their Inaugural Public Safety Communications Leadership in Policy Awards Dinner being held April 12 at the Park Hyatt Washington.
