NASCIO Executive Director Comments on Government Technology Story

In an e-mail to Government Technology regarding "Springing Forward Creates Big Issue for Information Technologies," NASCIO Executive Director Doug Robinson said:

"Thanks for this piece and the reminder that this change could end up as not just a minor inconvenience, but could be disruptive to governments and the services they deliver. We believe there will be unintended consequences to the early DST date that governments have not planned for yet. We issued a research brief advisory [pdf] for our states last week and listed other time-sensitive technologies that may be impacted."
