U.S. Conference of Mayors' Winter Meeting Opens Today

With the presidential primaries under way and on the heels of the State of the Union Address, more than 250 of the nation's mayors, led by Conference President and Hempstead, N.Y. Mayor James A. Garner, gather this morning in Washington, D.C., for the 72nd Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, running through Jan. 23 at the Capital Hilton Hotel. On Thursday, the mayors will release a second homeland security report: Tracking Federal Homeland Security Funds. KW
