Students must earn 12 credit-hours in any three of the five courses to receive a certificate from UIC. =0A=0AThe courses include data management, information technology management, project management, use of the Internet in public administration, and geographic information systems for public managers. Credits earned may be applied to a master of public administration degree from UIC. =0A=0AStudents will interact with one another and the instructor via Blackboard, a Web-based system. Students may participate at any time of the day or night. =0A=0ACourses will be taught by Thompson and other UIC faculty, including: =0A=0AAdmission requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university and application to UIC.
