How will Robots Affect Your Health Care? (Infographic)

The history of health care in robotics is aimed to influence future practice.

With lifespans getting longer and health care attempting to balance costs and services, robotic solutions are gaining momentum.

What once belonged to the world of sci-fi thrillers has now turned to a modern-day reality as robots are leveraged to improve medical services and shave away menial tasks. Skeptics can dispel doubts by looking at today’s robotic advancements -- robots can be seen along medical corridors handling delivery tasks, they’re used to help patients consume food, they aid developmentally disabled children, and they're even used as prosthetics and in surgical tasks.

Coupled with technology advancements in analytics and software, the next generation of robots is poised to allow doctors a mobile reach to patients, to improve diagnosis accuracy, and to bolster medical research by processing thousands of case studies and patient records at a time.

Though robotics isn’t always so easily apparent, below is a graphic created by BestMedicalDegrees.com that identifies and showcases past milestones and the future potential of robots in the medical field.
