New Website Targets Inter-County Collaboration and Sharing

The National Association of Counties (NACo) is doing more to promote resource sharing among counties.

For county government workers looking to innovate, a new website from the National Association of Counties (NACo) has the answer -- register for the County Innovation Network (COIN), and participate in the private online community on such topics as resilient counties, smart justice, cyber for counties, and transportation and infrastructure, to name a few.

Users can connect with workers and officials in other parts of the country, share information and documents, get input from subject matter experts, participate in focused online discussions, and view products offered by vendors.

NACo reported that in July, it will make available County Intelligence Connection (CIC) 2.0, which contains 61 data sets with 640 indicators covering 3,069 counties, so users can make better informed decisions when it comes to their own county.
