E-mail is critical to the way government and education entities communicate, but for most organizations, the e-mail systems that are in use no longer fit their needs – and have become difficult to manage and expensive. Both government and education entities need e-mail systems that are reliable, scalable and easy to manage, but it is hard to find the funds to upgrade. This issue brief discusses how migrating to cloud-based e-mail can be a viable solution for both government and education. With this model, users access e-mail resources over a secure, private link. In addition to easing storage, security and management concerns, it can drastically reduce costs.
