Transparency is the cornerstone of the success of government and its broader societal role, and crucial to a transparent government is efficient agenda management. However, agenda management – especially using a paper-based system – is a time-intensive task, requiring multiple iterations of creation and review processes. Paper can be misplaced and errors can easily be introduced. This issue brief discusses how enterprise content management (ECM) can revolutionize the agenda management process, improving workflow, making it easier to access information, speeding up processes and, ultimately, improving government transparency.
