Clark County, Wash., residents interested in knowing the financial condition of the county can get educated by visiting the auditors
Web site. For the first time ever, the Auditors Office is making available the countys audited 1998 General Purpose Financial Statements and the 1999 Quarterly Reports on Revenues and Expenses for the first two quarters of 1999.
The Web site also includes information on marriage licenses and recording documents. These reports show that, among other things, 1998 was a record year for the number of documents recorded, and the number of marriage license applications has been decreasing over the past several years.
"This is just a first step in bringing more information to the residents of Clark County via the Internet," said Auditor Greg Kimsey in a press release. "More enhancements to the Web site are being planned."
