Knowing a person's true identity is key to having a proper homeland security strategy.  As one intelligence analyst employed by the National Security Agency (NSA) noted, "We need to be able to do that quickly and with accuracy. Our security network is really based on the efficiency of that exchange, with the potential for unforgiveable consequences if we get it wrong."
