At the New Cities Summit, which was held in Dallas in June, organizers set about tackling the issues confronting civic leaders around the globe, including sustainable energy, waste management, transportation and urban design. To that end, Parag Khanna, a Senior Research Fellow at the New America Foundation and a Senior Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, gave a keynote on his vision of the future trends in the "century of cities."
