Make Room for Data

G-Technology's G-SPEED storage device features a 4-Gb Fibre channel interface -- small form-factor pluggable to LC optical -- and RAID 6 (supports RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 5 and 6) technology specifically designed for content creation applications. The compact desktop tower stores up to 3 TB using SATA II drives, with sustained data rates of up to 250 Mbps. The unit contains hot-swappable disk drive modules and fans, and offers a redundant power supply option. The tower is storage area network-ready, as well as Mac OS X- and Windows XP-compatible.

Cut the Static

The Starkey Laboratories Ear Level Instrument (ELI) offers wireless communication between hearing aid wearers and a growing assortment of modern Bluetooth signal sources, including telephones, TVs and computers. Cell phones and other portable electronics sometimes create feedback, poor signal strength and electromagnetic interference. When paired with a Bluetooth-enabled phone, for example, ELI's signal automatically overrides the hearing instrument's microphone signal, improving the signal and clarity for the user. ELI is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A single charge provides 140 hours in standby mode or 2.5 hours of continuous use.
