LapWorks offers travelers the Laptop Desk UltraLite, an accessory to reduce heat in laptops. It weighs 14.6 ounces and is 5/16 of an inch thick. As a lap tray, the UltraLite creates a 22-inch x 11-inch workspace. It cools laptops via ventilation channels that allow increased airflow beneath the computer. Used as a desktop stand, the product folds into a wedge shape and props the laptop's keyboard into five typing angles to allow comfortable use. Nonslip rubber anchors the notebook to the device.

The Wireless Enhanced Mobile Emergency Communications (WEMEC) kit from EnGenius Technologies is designed to aid first response communications by connecting satellite, cellular and landline telephone access. WEMEC can be used alone or as part of a mobile command center, letting as many as 36 users share four phone lines. The company's phones work at up to 12 vertical floors, 3,000 acres or 250,000 square feet, and signals penetrate concrete and steel to help emergency personnel maintain contact.

The Logicube Forensic MD5 hard-drive acquisition system finds hidden or deleted files on PCs for evidence, and is designed for the requirements of law enforcement, military, MIS/IT, corporate security, investigators and auditors. The system runs at 3 GB per minute, simultaneously capturing, imaging, verifying and keyword-searching the data at full speed. The MD5 system features a variety of connectivity options to speed data capture, including via USB adapter, IDE cables, a parallel or PCMCIA port.
