How much money was Woodside, Calif., offered to change its name to SugarDaddie.com, USA?

March 1, 2013 By News Staff

Answer: $11.65 million

On Feb. 27, SugarDaddie.com -- a dating website for "attractive, wealthy and desirable people" -- offered the Bay Area town of Woodside, Calif., $11.65 million to change its name for 10 years to SugarDaddie.com, USA, the San Mateo County Times reported.

Views on the proposal vary, but for Vice Mayor David Burow, SugarDaddie appears to have missed the mark. "I guess they don't know Woodside -- they picked a town that actually doesn't seek publicity," he said. "People go to Woodside to be anonymous."
