What technology will be used to broadcast this year's Olympic Games?

July 24, 2012 By

Answer: 3-D

Later this month, nearly 80 percent of U.S. TV households will for the first time get 3-D broadcast of the Olympic Games. Roughly 242 hours of the London Olympic Games will air in 3-D, albeit with a 24-hour delay so fans can support their favorite athletes "couchside," at a fraction of the cost of flying to London. Viewers will get to watch track and field, swimming and gymnastics, a few of the most anticipated competitions.
