How much video is uploaded to YouTube every minute?

July 26, 2011 By

Answer: 48 hours worth.

Ars Technica reported on a new study from the Pew Internet & American Life Project. According to Kathleen Moore, a Pew Internet Project analyst, "Forty-eight hours of footage are uploaded to YouTube every minute, adding up to nearly 8 years of content daily."

If you look at the Top 20 YouTube videos of all time, though, you'll note quantity definitely does not equal quality.
