Today in 1973, the Concorde made its first trans-Atlantic flight. How long did the flight take?

September 23, 2011 By

Answer:

3 hours 32 minutes. The Air France flight left Washington D.C. and arrived in Paris with an average flight speed of 954 mph. For comparison, a flight between the two cities today will take seven hours or more.

If the West to East flight took 3:32, how much longer, if any was the West to East time? Or, at the altitude was there no Jet Stream influence? Sam
