How many T-Mobile customers are using "jailbroken" iPhones on the company's network?

September 27, 2011 By

Answer: 1 million

The figure was mentioned by T-Mobile chief marketing officer Cole Brodman in a Sept. 26 blog post addressed to customers, explaining that T-Mobile would like to officially offer the iPhone. "Please know that we think the iPhone is a great device and Apple knows that we’d like to add it to our line-up," Brodman wrote.

"Jailbreaking" an iPhone means unlocking the device so that it run software not authorized by Apple.
