What new invention can alleviate motion sickness faster than swallowed medications?

October 24, 2012 By

Answer: special chewing gum

A new prototype for medicated chewing gum has been developed for motion sickness that may offer many advantages over conventional oral solid dosage forms, according to the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.

This medicated gum will improve patient compliance and faster absorption through the cheek, which will alleviate motion sickness sooner.

Again, the stock photo is well matched for the story. Anyone who knows their gum, though, will recognize the tell-tale W's in Wrigley's gum. :)
