In this era of modern communications and emergency warning systems, is there a role for outdoor sirens?
The region's emergency managers want to see how effectively the outdoor warning system reaches people who do not have mobile devices, who are visiting the National Capital Region, or who are outside or away from television, radio, and telephones. In addition, the warning system can be activated in specific neighborhoods only, enabling police to help look for a lost child, for example. The comments against MadahCom are simply unfounded and false. Sounds like someone is bitter about not getting the project. The truth is that this company has a great working relationship with the armed services, has great tactical systems that has saved many lives in Iraq protecting out troops from mortar attacks. If they are no good, why would Northrop Grumman use them solely on their detect, warn, and destroy systems? I'm sure several companies put together proposals to try to win this pilot project and that happened to be the company that seemed to have their stuff together. So, instead of criticizing the ones making it happen, let's look forward and have the best warning systems possible, it can only benefit you, me, and our children.
While the CEO of the company is Israeli, the company and its manufacturing in based in Sarasota Florida. Thanks for playing though.
The sirens they are putting in are the cheapest and least effective on the market. If this is the prototype then someone needs to investigate. The Marine Corps uses this product and has to add another companies sirens just to make it work. The company is an Israeli company and for some reason they are getting preference over American made products. Makes you wonder about how your tax dollars are being spent. All this work and they are buying the cheapest made product on the market. They will have a lot of problems with this system not being heard. What a waste of time. Wonder who's getting some bucks on the side of this project from the Israeli's?

This is what the public needs. Communications during emergencies is exactly what we need. I hope the project goes well and others take the initiative to follow through with similar systems. This is not only a great use of tax money but also using our technology to protect us and minimize losses during an attack or emergency whether man-made or natural.
