Georgia Issues Intent to Award on Two Large IT Contracts

Award to IBM for infrastructure services, and to AT&T for managed network services.

Georgia on Friday issued a notice of intent to award an $873,043,000.00 contract to IBM for infrastructure services -- which includes data centers, mainframes, servers, PCs and laptops.

The state also issued a notice of intent to award a contract to AT&T for managed network services, worth $346,043,000.00.

On Friday, the state of Texas -- which has a similar contract with IBM -- sent the company a "notice to cure" giving a 30-day window to remediate shortcomings in contract performance which included data backup deficiencies.
