According to a spokesperson for the California Senate Rules Committee the committee voted today to confirm Teri Takai as California CIO.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment last Dec. 6, saying the state needed to expand its information technology infrastructure to meet future needs. "Teri is the perfect person to do that," said Schwarzenegger. "She has over 30 years of experience in this field and possesses the vision necessary to make our great state a leader in the effective use of information technology."
