San Diego Harbor Lights Up at Night

October 24, 2012 By

For three and a half days, our nation's state CIOs gathered in the San Diego Harbor area, shown above, for the 2012 NASCIO Annual Conference.

Here, they shared ideas and best practices; networked with each other and with vendors; and furthered their knowledge about cybersecurity, big data, multi-jurisdictional collaboration, and mobile device management and security, to name just a few things.

As IT leaders in state government, CIOs are confronted with a variety of responsibilities and leadership challenges, and they're working to advance that agenda in a fast-changing environment where budget hardships and uncertainty overshadow everything.
