Corinne Charette Appointed Canadian Federal CIO

Corinne Charette has been appointed Canada's new federal CIO, joining the Chief Information Officer Branch (CIOB) of Canada's Treasury Board Secretariat, according to an article in ITWorld Canada. Charette had been the CIO of a government financial intelligence agency, and most recently was CIO of Transat A.T. Inc.

The CIOB provides strategic direction, leadership, management oversight and guidance to departments and agencies in information management, and leads the development and implementation of the Canadian government's information management (IM) strategy, IM policy instruments, IM community development, and more.
