Wisconsin Governor Signs Tech-Related Bills Into Law

Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle yesterday signed the following tech-related bills into law:

Senate Bill 393 requires disclosure of certain information found during background checks for personal care workers. The bill also mandates that background checks for caregivers be conducted every four years.
Senate Bill 69 prohibits disclosure of information obtained by a tax preparer in the course of preparing a client's tax return, unless the client provides written consent.
Assembly Bill 597 prohibits tampering or interfering with a signal transmitted by a global positioning system issued by the Department of Corrections to monitor movement of a sex offender.
