HP Enterprise Services has launched a new secure private cloud solution designed to help federal, state and local governments move IT programs to the cloud and save on costs, the company announced last week.

According to the press release, the new solution offers a managed, dedicated cloud that allows agencies to share services across multiple departments and act as IT brokers by accessing a web-based portal to manage consumption and monitor resources for programs and business units.

The new product, called the HP Helion Managed Private Cloud for Public Sector, is designed to improve security and address certification and regulatory compliance needs of the federal government, including the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
