IPv6 Engineers Receive Itojun Award

The Internet Society today announced the recipients of the first Itojun award to Lorenzo Colitti and Erik Kline of Google for contributions to the development and deployment of IPv6, the next generation Internet protocol. The award -- presented in Hiroshima, Japan, and named after IPv6 pioneer Dr. Jun-ichiro -- includes a presentation crystal, a $3,000 honorarium and a travel grant. Colitti is a network engineer at Google and Kline is an IPv6 software engineer at the company.
