Michigan Juries Banned From Using Electronic Communications

Begins Sept. 1.

Beginning Sept. 1, Michigan juries will be banned from using electronic communications devices in the jury box or while deliberating, according to the National Law Journal. The state Supreme Court made the rule this week to avoid outside influence or distractions.
