New Technology Helps Identify Remains in Florida Cold Case

Originally reported as the remains of a woman in her 20s, police have identified the victim using a new finger print identification system.

(TNS) -- New technology has enabled Boca Raton police to identify the remains of a person from a 1993 homicide, according to a news release.

Originally reported as the remains of a woman in her 20s, police have identified the victim as Michelle Deann Cooper.

Police were able to identify the remains using a new finger print identification system.

Investigators are now working new leads in connection to the incident. Police believe she may have been living in West Palm Beach at the time of her death.
