Texas Office of the Attorney General Awards Contract For New Enterprise Content Management Platform

August 12, 2005 By

The State of Texas Office of the Attorney General has awarded FileNet a contract for the FileNet P8 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform and associated product suites. As part of the implementation, the Office of the Attorney General will utilize FileNet P8's Content Federation Services (CFS) to create a single enterprise catalog for storage, retrieval, and provision of content, processes, records and e-mail.

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) will deploy FileNet P8 in order to automate business processes in its administrative and legal divisions. The solutions will be used to meet business requirements for management of the OAG's litigation documents and to assist the agency in fulfilling Texas Public Information requests. Additionally, the implementation is planned to support administrative processes, including automation of the agency's leave request process.

The first phase of the implementation is scheduled for completion during the third quarter of 2005.
