The district attorney's office recently chose the company to integrate information retrieval capabilities into a proprietary application it is currently developing. Once complete, this application will enable users to perform global searches across multiple databases, documents and spreadsheets.
To speed the integration process, Westchester County's developers employed the ISYSMAGIC utility, a command-line interface that enabled the development team to make calls to the ISYS engine using a single line of code. This allowed the developers to focus on building out their custom application and spend less time on integration.
Although specific to Westchester County's use of the company's programming language in this instance, the command-line interface can be used by a variety of non-traditional languages to drive the search at a high level and reduce integration time.
