What’s the best way to avoid being distracted by annoying co-workers?

Despite our best efforts to like our co-workers, it doesn’t always work out so well. There’s always that one co-worker who wants to stop by for a chat, or catch you at the microwave to ask earnestly how your weekend was. Want a high-tech way to dodge their efforts? There’s a Google Chrome extension for that.

The Nope Button was created by workspace rental provider Breather and allows you to add an extension to your Internet browser dashboard. Enter your phone number, and the next time that annoying co-worker comes around your cubicle, simply click the button and prepare to look apologetic as the Nope calls you. When you pick up the receiver or accept the call, a 60-second recording will give additional instructions for how to pull off the farce, such as, “On the count of three, put your hand to your mouth in alarm as if you’re hearing bad news. Don’t look sad, just look concerned."
