Which technology is letting people get a closer look at Taiwan’s recent earthquake?

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Taiwan Feb. 6 is thought to have killed more than 100 people, but with many still missing, the total casualties remain to be seen.

In this age of media, it’s not uncommon to see video and photos immediately following such an event, but it seems documentarians are becoming more sophisticated -- just hours after the event, a detailed 3-D model of the site was made available online for people to tour, Mashable reported.

Modelers from the National Cheng Kung University posted a 3-D construct of the previously 17-story Wei-guan Golden Dragon Building that fell during the event, and by swiping or clicking, observers can view the wreckage from every angle. See for yourself below:
