How much does Uber cost in Seoul, South Korea?

Answer: it's free

For an indefinite period, Uber has changed the cost of rides in Seoul, South Korea to be free for patrons, for up to 30 rides. The extreme cost reduction is a reaction to the city's prohibition of ride-sharing that Uber is attempting to circumvent by not charging its customers. Uber has faced opposition in many of the 250 cities they have appeared in since first launching in 2009. In early Feb., taxi drivers gathered in Seoul to rally against the company, with one holding a sign that said, “Uber, stop trying and just leave Korea!”

As of Dec., Uber is valued at $41 billion.
