Developed by Perceptual Robotics Laboratory at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, the suit could be used by factory workers or to clear debris in search and rescue.

The suit is one of many exoskeletons now in development, including the "Iron Man" suit being developed for the U.S. Army, which was referenced by President Obama at a press conference in February.

"Basically, I'm here to announce that we're building Iron Man [...] Not really. Maybe. It's classified," he said.
