Beginning in the 2018-19 season, skiers and snowboarders visiting one of Vail Resorts’ participating locations will be able to ask any question of “the world’s first digital mountain assistant,” according to the promotional video (below).

Users will be able to ask Emma any question related to the mountain via text message, such as whether a specific run has been groomed, how long the lift lines are and how much snow they got last night. She will reply immediately with the latest information.

Emma will be available in English at nine Vail Resort locations, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado; Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Whistler and Blackcomb in Canada; and Park City in Utah.
