Why is today, April 15, a special day for fans of Google Glass?

For one day only, Google will allow anyone to buy the $1,500 wearable device. Until now, only approved beta testers have been permitted to buy Glass. April 15 customers will also receive a free pair of frames or sunglasses. Supplies are said to be limited but those interested can sign up with Google for a chance to purchase Glass.
