How did a Wi-Fi hot spot cause panic on a commercial flight in Australia?

Answer: its name

A passenger on Qantas flight 481 noticed a Wi-Fi hot spot named “Mobile Detonation Device.” He notified the crew, and the pilot told passengers they would not depart until the device was located.

After more than an hour of searching, it was determined that the device was probably someone in the terminal who was trying to cause a scare. The flight eventually left — but without several passengers who had deemed it prudent to wait for the next plane.
