How old is Microsoft’s newest entrepreneurial partner?

Answer: 13

He won’t have his driver’s license for a few more years, but Santa Clara, Calif., eighth-grader Shubham Banerjee has already landed a sweet gig: He is Microsoft’s newest partner.

Banerjee built a Braille printer he calls Braigo that the software giant hopes to bring to market for use with its Surface Pro 3 tablet. He built the first version of his printer using Legos. At the age of 12, Banerjee became the youngest entrepreneur to receive venture capital funding when Intel Capital invested in his company, Braigo Labs. Banerjee’s father, Neil, is on the board of directors for the company and also serves as Shubham’s PR manager and chauffeur, as well as working for Intel himself.
