New buses deployed in a South Korea city get their energy from what telluric source?

Answer: the ground

On August 6, the city of Gumi, South Korea, deployed two electric buses in the Online Electric Vehicle (OLEV) system. The buses recieve power from electric cables embedded in the asphalt. The deployment is the next step in research conducted at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). If the pilot goes well, the city plans to deploy 10 more OLEV buses by 2015.
