How is New York City embracing solar power?

Solar-powered charging stations called CityCharge can now be found at Bryant Park in New York City. A parasol-shaped solar panel attached to a small table gives visitors a chance to charge their Apple or Android devices on the go. Each station has six cables for charging and wheels on the bottom so the stations can be easily moved during events. CityCharge was developed over two years of collaboration between not-for-profit Bryant Park Corporation, Green Barrel Energy, and design firm Landscape Forms.
