A new $500 million satellite can capture ground images at what resolution?
Answer: 30 centimeters
The WorldView-3, launched this month by Colorado-based DigitalGlobe, can capture images sharp enough to establish “not only a car, but the windshield and the direction the car is going.” The images are so detailed, the company won’t be allowed to share its full-resolution imagery with the public until February, when federal restrictions will be relaxed.
