What’s the difference between President Obama’s 2009 and 2014 State of the Union speeches?

Answer: The 2014 speech showed higher levels of anger and fear.

A new software-assisted program designed to evaluate the personalities of prominent individuals could help governments better understand their allies and enemies. Researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel are using the program to automate the classification of personality traits, like those of President Barack Obama.

The American president’s 2009 and 2014 State of the Union speeches showed signs of being "assertive" and "organized," but the latter speech indicated the "loner" personality trait, according to researchers, and contained higher levels of "anger" and "fear."

The program was also applied to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi's speech to the United Nations in 2012, which researchers said revealed that he is "obsessive," out of touch with his people, and did not see the big picture.
