How does a new machine in Japan allow blind children to search the Internet?

Blind children can press a button and speak into the machine and then receive a 3-D object of the thing they searched for. The machine, called Hands On Search, uses Yahoo to find an image of the search term and then prints out a miniature 3-D version of that image, according to Mashable.
