Earlier this year, Government Technology attended the Black Hat 2013 Conference, which ran from July 27 to August 1 in Las Vegas. We asked cybersecurity professionals for their opinions on some of today’s most pressing security issues.

In this episode of our Black Hat video series, we asked professionals about the evolving role of the chief security officer. These days, many security leaders’ duties involve managing risk when it comes to physical assets, not just software and digital data. What does risk management mean when an IT security professional has to assess the risk and vulnerability of equipment and business processes that have nothing to do with traditional cybersecurity?
