Fire Agencies Upgrade with Digital Solutions

New, digital voice recordings will help police fire and 911 response times.

CAMARILLO, CA - With the increased awareness of the importance of responding properly and promptly to emergency calls, police, fire and 911 dispatch centers are older generation, reel-to-reel call recorders with digital solutions that are more reliable, accurate, fast and easy to use.

Public Safety departments in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in California have unveiled new digital voice recording solutions that enhance their digital call recording, monitoring and retrieval needs. The Montecito Fire Department in Santa Barbara and the Ventura Fire Department have received the Voice Print International (VPI) solutions.

The system is Windows NT/2000/XP and SQAL database-driven. It's built around standard PCs and uses commercially off-the-shelf standard hardware from industry leaders so that users can maintain and upgrade the system as needs evolve.

The system is designed for ease-of-use, lessoning training and allowing personnel to adapt to the system quickly.
