NASCIO Thanks Napolitano for Attention to Cyber Security

August 5, 2009 By

The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) applauded DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano for her efforts raising cyber security as a critical issue for the nation and the states."I am pleased to hear what Secretary Napolitano had to say regarding cyber security," said NASCIO president and Minnesota CIO Gopal Khanna (pictured) in a statement.  "Our state CIOs deal continuously with current and emerging threats and are dedicated to IT security. It is important that this be seen as a national issue." In 2008, NASCIO released At Risk! Securing Government in a Digital World and has a longstanding commitment and focus on cyber security with active committee members, research and government advocacy.
