New Paper on Public Records Management

February 7, 2005 By

The Center for Digital Government released "Public Trust & Public Value through Effective Stewardship of Public Records" this month. The paper addresses public policy effects on public-storage management, along with technology options available today that address the major aspects of compliance storage.

"Laws and regulations are gaining ground to ensure records, whether paper or digital, are being stored for public disclosure and accountability," says the paper. "With digital records increasing exponentially, public officials need to consider compliance storage management to abide by laws and regulations, avoid penalties, and enable knowledge management for better decision-making."
