WebCampus to Offer Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security

The online unit of Stevens Institute will provide an instructor-led, four-course program.

HOBOKEN - WebCampus, the online unit of Stevens Institute of Technology, will introduce in September a new four-course online graduate certificate in cyber security.

The four-course, instructor-led program will be designed to help the industry grapple with increasingly serious threats to the nation's computer and network infrastructure and will be directed by IEEE Fellow Manu Malek.

The first class to go online this fall, "e-Business Security and Information Assurance," explores application, server and database security. Reviewing virtual local area networks (VLAN), it covers secure access, backup and disaster-recovery techniques.

Stevens offers baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees in engineering, science, computer science, management and technology management, as well as a baccalaureate in humanities and liberal arts.
